HGV APPLICATION

Do you have a Class 1 licence and looking for full-time, permanent hours? Do you have great road knowledge of up and down the country?

As a driver you will be responsible for providing a reliable, professional and efficient delivery service to customers, ensuring goods are delivered on time and safely whilst providing excellent customer service. 

We are always interested to hear from suitably qualified, experienced and committed individuals who would be interested in joining the Fryers team.

We have opportunities for professional, HGV Class 1 Drivers. All driving positions are permanent and full-time. Experience in general haulage and container work is an advantage but not essential. If you have HGV Class 1 experience, apply now and exceed your expectations at Fryers Transport.

 A valid ADR qualification is advantageous but not essential.

OTHER VACANCIES

Fryers are currently recruiting for a (Container) Transport planner to join us. 

The role is permanent/full time requiring a dedicated team member, salary dependent on your experience, plus benefits (there will be a requirement for a degree of out of hours work).

We are searching for an individual who wants to succeed to a senior level within the company, to take ownership of the daily routing of the vehicles in a cost effective and compliant manner.

Key responsibilities of our Traffic Planner:

  • Maximising profits with strategic planning

  • Managing drivers, including agency drivers and subcontractors

  • Dealing with breakdowns, traffic delays and accidents which impact operations

  • Ensuring adherence to the Operator's Licence and driver's hours legislation

  • Controlling, monitoring and authorisation of driver's hours in line with procedure

  • Controlling, monitoring and reporting of accidents ensuring completion of forms in line with company procedure (FORS)

  • Ensuring sufficient resources for covering sickness and absence.

  • Ensuring correct paperwork (including disclaimers and driving licence checks) and briefings are completed with agency drivers

  • Ability to motivate and encourage drivers Self diagnostic - being able to review and improve own performance and to assist that of the team

  • The role holder will be expected to work direct with company Directors
